In the mood of time (2014) Sculpture by Edw Sculpture

The clay allows me the immediate capture of emotions and the spontaneity of creativity. My favorite subject is the human. It is necessary that the sculpture releases an emotion, and especially a presence (living side). I hope that each work offers an opportunity for exchange between material and subject. Capturing the moment, grasping the emotion are my primary objectives for each sculpture. When finally the goal is reached, it is necessary to know stop and question: will this additional stabbing bring a complementary reading of the sculpture? Will not it harm? This approach leaves as much freedom as possible to the viewer for the interpretation of the work, for the plurality of its reading, and above all allows me to be able to take the viewer with his imagination, his references, his feelings when encountering my creation.
