'Painting is very easy when you don't know how. When you know that, it's very difficult." Edgar Degas
Girl from the islands... Childhood in Reunion and Guadeloupe, studies in Ile (!) de France in Paris, family and professional life in Martinique since 1980.
Having therefore spent most of my life under the tropical sun, I am naturally imbued with their bright, saturated, sometimes violent colors.
These colors can still be tempered by the more subtle and nuances encountered during my stays in France or abroad.
Retired from medicine since 2013, I try to devote myself as much as possible to this passion for drawing and painting, contracted as for many of us, in childhood. I have no favorite theme or medium, repetition bores me; eclecticism characterizes me, I practice portraits as well as landscapes, still life or fantasy and I handle oil, acrylic, pastel or even collage.
In no case do I consider myself an artist, I paint just for my pleasure (and maybe a little that of others?...) and to escape from this world so hard, so violent, unjust and cruel... Take advantage of this space of freedom that we offer the art, while there is still time....
