Diana Yovcheva graduated in Fine Art from Middlesex University, London in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Simon Read. Impressed by Diyana's artistic skills in combining natural materials in her compositions, he gradually began to turn her attention to Land Art - contemporary art movement that emerged in the late 1960s.
About her art she shares:
“My main idea as an artist is to enhance the viewer's sensitivity and respect for nature. I aim to both provoke and convince the audience towards personal search for interconnection with the environment. The use of natural materials is to show the complexity, beauty and duration of life in nature, where the purpose of graphic elements is to further enhance the context, through a particular colour or shape.
Nature for me is raw and dangerous, but also beautiful in the same time. I often walk and try to look beneath the surface of things. I want my art to look sensitive and alert to changes in materials and time, because that reminds me that I am part of nature and therefore same rulles apply to me.”
Her works are owned by private collectors and government institutions in Bulgaria, England, Norway and the USA.
