Courtney Wilde
My name is Courtney Wilde.
I am nineteen years old and I live in Washington. I have a loving family who strongly supports my interest in art. I love art and am very dedicated to my artwork.
I am a pretty well rounded person. I just graduated from high school and currently attend college. I have a 3.80 GPA at EVCC. I was a cheerleader for my high school and I was also a cheer captain.
I am completely self taught; I have only took one college level drawing class where I learned the basics and two youth drawing classes that didn't really benefit my ability.
I paint with acrylics, draw, use colored pencils, pastels, charcoal, and express myself through the creativity art gives me. This site is strictly used to help get my artwork viewed.
I have always loved to draw and experiment with art, but didn't start drawing seriously until about two years ago and have rapidly developed skills with every new project. I am a new experimenter with acrylic paint, A View of Africa (August 2007) was my first
painting and it was quite an accomplishment for me.
My art goal is to just get my artwork viewed and out there in the world. I feel joy from my artwork and maybe others would too.
I am inspired by Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol's use of color, and Picasso's freedom.
Love, Courtney
