This work of art developed from an interest in how everyday objects, in this case a sign, can be used to develop a sense of awareness through the creative and intellectual faculties. In an age of media overload, this is no easy task as the response can be an automatic orthodox reaction driven by such influences as late-night show politics parading as comedy, social media sniping, or virtual conflicting news worlds that jump from sensational topic to sensational topic .
