Buli is a visual artist exploring contemporary practices with the traditional skills creating bold visual statement pieces. He carefully blends conceptual art within traditional medium exploring wide variety of concepts within the art history . He uses punchneedle technique and wool on his "paintings". These are handmade without use of electirically powered machinery. He summons the viewers curiousity and attention with his use of colours, texture and design, inviting them to open a diologue with his pieces. His style is nuanced by variety of inspirations including human condition, nature, wildlife and abstract. His subject choices are intuitive, rather than premeditated responding to his socio-cultural/political landscapes rather than forcing a particular agenda. As his craft unfolds so does his imagination bringing a refreshing edge to his fine art practices. He uses recognisable skill to create one off pieces that cultivates an imaginative and delightful visual experience. Buli completed his Fine Art degree at Bristol school of Art in 2018 and has been building a sizable portfolio since then. He currently uses Istanbul as his base but travels around exploring different cultures. He recently spent a year teaching English, Maths and Science at public schools in Vietnam but his passion for creativity pulled him back to Istanbul.
