Avec cette série photographique qui fait suite à "Metamorphose", Bruno Mercier poursuit sa recherche de proposition d'une compréhension différente des objets, rendue possible grâce à la capacité d’évocation, de symbolisation et d’abstraction de l’esprit humain. Le rapport entre le signifiant et le signifié des objets s’en trouve alors modifié. L’aspect usuel de l’objet est mis de côté on va lui préférer une compréhension plus intuitive, plus émotionnelle. La capacité métaphorique de l’esprit humain donne parfois une clé de compréhension différente des objets qui nous interrogent. La comparaison, la symbolisation, l’altérité, nous entraînent vers l’envers du décor, si nous acceptons de nous laisser porter «de l’autre côté du miroir ». C’est alors que l’imaginaire nous invite à faire l’expérience d’une vision parallèle du monde, à travers les objets qui nous entourent. Et le voyage commence…

Bruno Mercier, art photographer and designer, is a recognized specialist in black and white. He lives and works on the West Coast of the Cotentin Peninsula, in France. His work, imbued with poetry and mystery, explores the play of light, movement and intense atmospheres that stimulate the imagination.
Author of numerous personal and collective works, Bruno Mercier's photographs are widely distributed in the international specialized press. It is represented by the prestigious Galerie Hégoa, with premises in Paris, Issy Les Moulineaux and Vendôme. Additionally, his images are distributed internationally by the British Agency Millenium Images, based in London, United Kingdom.
In his artistic approach, Bruno Mercier seeks to capture fleeting moments where light transcends darkness, thus creating visual compositions rich in emotion. His works reflect his deep feelings and his subjective interpretation of the world around him.
