Brigitte Bibard Guillon is a contemporary artist whose passion for all forms of art led her to begin drawing and painting classes in 1985. Initially trained in a rather academic style, she focused on landscapes and still lifes; however, she soon sought to express herself in a different way. While figurative painting remains an essential exercise for her, it is in abstract painting that she truly finds her artistic identity.
Since the 1990s, Guillon has exhibited her work in various venues and local events throughout the Poitou-Charentes region. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she has built a career in education. After several years as a teacher, she has been working as a teacher-librarian since 1998, continually enriching her artistic knowledge through visits to museums, exhibitions, and extensive reading on art.
In 2011, Guillon made the decision to devote herself entirely to painting. Her creativity manifests in lively and spontaneous works, characterized by a harmonious interplay of materials and colors that engage the senses and spark the imagination. Additionally, she explores artistic experimentation with various engraving techniques, including etching, drypoint, and collagraphy, further enriching her artistic repertoire.
