Ainsi que le veut la coutume, à Leipzig, chaque année, pour le Vendredi Saint, les fidèles écoutent une Passion.
En cette année 1727, le 11 avril, Vendredi Saint, en l'église Saint-Thomas de Leipzig, commémorant la mort du Christ, le compositeur dévoile son oeuvre "La passion selon Saint Matthieu".
Mais avant de présenter et diriger son oeuvre, Jean Sébastien Bach a composé. Un temps d'écriture : à l'Ecriture Sainte l'homme fait répondre la musique. L'oeuvre est magistrale. Elle nous emmène sur le Chemin de Souffrances du Christ Rédempteur. L'oeuvre nous fait entrer tant dans le don suprême de soi, l'abandon de l'Être pour le salut de l'humanité. Et, au rythme de l'oeuvre, l'âme à l'écoute suit tant les écrits de l'apôtre que les Pas du Seigneur dans ses souffrances et sa Mort. L'Amour est au cœur de l'oeuvre. L'Amour de l'Homme-Dieu pour l'homme.
De la plume à la musique sacrée, en cette année 1727, Jean Sébastien Bach dévoile une oeuvre dont il ignore la postérité, une oeuvre qui nous transporte encore aujourd'hui vers l'Eternité.

As is the custom, in Leipzig, every year, for Good Friday, the faithful listen to a Passion.
In this year 1727, on April 11, Good Friday, in the church of Saint-Thomas in Leipzig, commemorating the death of Christ, the composer unveils his work "The passion according to Saint Matthew".
But before presenting and conducting his work, Jean Sébastien Bach composed. A time of writing: to Holy Scripture man makes the music respond. The work is masterful. It takes us on the Path of Suffering of Christ the Redeemer. The work makes us enter so much into the supreme gift of self, the abandonment of Being for the salvation of humanity. And, to the rhythm of the work, the listening soul follows both the apostle's writings and the footsteps of the Lord in his sufferings and Death. Love is at the heart of the work. From the pen to the sacred music, in this year 1727, Jean Sébastien Bach unveils a work of which he ignores the posterity, a work which still transports us today towards Eternity.

Painting is an act of fraternity, of sharing, an invitation to live, to live in harmony without meeting each other except by letting oneself be taken in hand by the work.
The arts then become oceans where each artist navigates to meet his differences and his fellows.
Painting: an acceptance of oneself, an invitation to the Other under the starry skies of Creation.
Finally, to paint is to love, in the fragility of who we are, humans.
