The forest is young, the summer is green, fresh. Morning gives birth to glassy, sweet dew. Streams cut grass fields. The sunlight breaks through the foliage, plays with sunbeams on river stones, freezes in the eyes of fish. Stands in the heart of the forest kingdom Old Oak. Deep in the earth its roots, knows all the secrets of the forest.
Running through the woods... Deer is a light arrow. He stops, welcomes a mighty tree. When the deer was small, Mom showed him Oak, and said that this is the wisest creation of the Forest. And to be respectful, Oak will reveal forest secrets, talk about the past.
So it was that the deer did not have horns. There were stone hooves, there were long legs, and there were no horns.

The deer ran through the forest. He sees wild boars coming up to Oak. Tusks begin to dig roots, look for acorns. The deer was in awe, suddenly the roots would be damaged and the old tree would die. In three jumps, the Deer flew to the Oak and began to drive away wild boars with hooves. They did not want to leave, shouted, scared with tusks.
But reindeer hooves hurt hard, and stubbornness hits even harder. The boars are gone. The exhausted Deer fell. And he lay until the roots of the tree encircled him. A tree hugged by the branches of a brave animal.
A whisper of leaves said: From now on and forever, as long as the woody spirits live, I give you wisdom and knowledge. Wear them and let the Forest Residents know that you are marked by the gratitude of the Old Oak. And Oak gave his branches.
Since then, a Deer wears antler - Wood Crown on his head.

Barbara was born in Minsk, 1982. Now lives in Italy. She travels a lot around the world - so most of small art pieces were created at the road.
She completed a fine art degree in 2002-2007 and have painted since she was three years old. There was a long break in the artist career while working as a photographer, in a 2020 she started painting again.
Despite of USSR heritage society and politics suppressing, inequal and abusive foundations existing nowadays in Belarus, the artist creates bright, kind paintings and funny characters, accumulating the brightest vibes in her soul and sharing it all to the world. The favourite theme - nature and birds as a symbol of women freedom from patriarchal society.
Favourite materials are pastel, watercolor and acrylic paints. Varvara has many artistic influences, such as Impressionism, Symbolism, Semi-Abstract, Ethno art. Whatever the subject matter, her work is characterized by lots of details and bright colours, different patterns and textures. The main inspiration - vibrating colors of nature, especially in mimicry theme. Bright mixing energy of wildlife colors, birds, animals and light are the source to create and interpretate the social life.
Usually Barbara works in an impressionistic style with many layers of paint, colorful strokes and dots. It takes a lot of time to create the paintings due to many details involved.
She is a real creator always seeking new forms of art and techniques to express her inner self.
