The painting "Lay of the Foundation" is part of the series of works "Numerology 0-10". I
was inspired by the idea of Pythagoras. Pythagoras associated each number with
a certain hypostasis of a person, a stage of personal development, a state of consciousness. The paintings were the result of a reinterpretation of numbers as symbols of various states, archetypes, and at some point went beyond the philosophy of Pythagoras.

"Lay of the Foundation" refers to the value of the number 4. It means the basis, the system, the support, the organization, the principle of life.

All living things have their own system. Sometimes a person does not understand this. Then it seems to a person that the system should be invented and applied from above, like a grid or tracing paper on the surrounding reality.

I asked myself: why do some people make prisons, while others make roads and houses? Why do some systems grow and develop, while others are destroyed from within? I would like to assume that it is about love, but I think there is something more reliable - a natural basis.

Acrylic

I explore the states of the soul and spirit.

Human beings has always been looking for how to become the creator of his life, how to manage superconsciousness. I' m interesting about it.

I take the concepts of ancient cultures about the soul, about connection with some "Supreme power". Then I study and I deel these symbols to express them in colors and lines, passing to the beauty of manifestation and clarity by my style.

Thus several collections of paintings were born.
