Anna Boginskaia
Most of my artworks are marked «Not for sale» as I had to leave Russian Federation and left my watercolors there. Let me know if you like any artwork and I will find out what can we do (organize delivery from Russia or I will repeat it for you).
I am a Russian full-time watercolor artist, I was born and raised in the Urals. Now based in Armenia. I have always felt creativity in myself and loved to create. I didn’t manage to visit art school but was forced to be a member of the children’s dance group. There I got my first lessons for composition, balance in shapes, and light not on canvas but on the stage.
After graduating from The Urals Technical University (majored in Physics and Technology) I worked as a business analyst in the finance companies. My spare time I spent with polymer clay, doing scrapbooking or drawing. As I traveled I practiced with photos to share the beauty of the World that I see.
After all, I was back to my dream to become an artist. Now my specialty is watercolor because I love the combo of graphics and fluidity this medium enables me to capture at the same time. It’s like a reflection of my strong character with a combination of love to be in the flow.
My work found practical application in local projects. For example, I prepared printed materials for the Russian Cup in disc golf, content for New Year's Advent boxes, a visual image for a family therapy school. My watercolors are in public spaces such as the linguistic school and the center for personal development and creativity, the therapy school and the office of a financial company. My works are also in private collections in Russia, European countries, and the USA.
My inspiration is in everyday life around me and my family or in our travels. All kind of patterns, textures, colors, light and shadows can inspire me. My favourite topics are landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes. I desire to convey something on paper at the level of feelings and voila - I'm enjoying the act of painting, improvising and trying to catch the zen of the moment. Creating art helps me to explore feelings, express myself. Watercolor art is my way to share the beauty of the world that I see.
