Better late than never! Passionate about philosophy and poetry, allergic to any 'official' path, it was only in 2010, at the age of 62, that painting came my way thanks to a painter I met & #34;by chance: the verses (I only write in Italian!) and the colors finally meet! I work on the pattern, either by painting directly, or by sketching watercolors, or simply by taking notes ('top gray, middle pink-mauve-light blue - foreground skinny tree') and working after , in the workshop, the memory... Never from photos! I seek, as Charles Camoin said, to “paint sketched paintings which retain the freedom and frankness of the sketch”.
