In the mini series « Ecailles », part of a larger series called « Carnets de Mer », I work with textures to create an abstract, speckled background with some volume. In the mini series « Ecailles », part of a larger series called « Carnets de Mer », I work with textures to create an abstract, speckled background with some volume. I then add scales drawn with an acrylic marker. Afterwards, I rework to balance each scale interior by adding color or texture. The idea of scales was born living very close to the sea and having daily contact with the water and its inhabitants and also for the influence that the study of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco currents has had on my work. This inspired me to create a series of paintings related to my connection to the sea. Around the world of the sea I paint fish and their scales, algae reminiscent of trees as well as corals, blue eyes ( who observe the sea) and meditative characters.

Andrea Plaza Carrasco alias Anplac est une artiste multidisciplinaire et entrepreneur basée en France. Elle est née à Buenos Aires le 6 août 1976 de parents chiliens.

Anplac, artiste aux multiples facettes, a commencé son parcours artistique avec la céramique, profondément influencée par les styles préhispaniques du Chili et de l'Argentine. Elle s'inspire de l'art primitif, brut et naïf, comme en témoignent ses sculptures utilitaires uniques utilisant des techniques de grès et de raku. Son évolution artistique l'a conduite à la peinture murale à Valparaiso pendant ses études aux Beaux-Arts, puis à des œuvres à grande échelle sur des tissus recyclés dans son atelier, reflétant son lien profond avec la nature et sa préservation.

Son style de peinture distinctif consiste à superposer des textures à l'acrylique sur des toiles uniques fabriquées à partir de matériaux récupérés comme des draps et des torchons. Cette technique innovante crée des fonds surprenants et riches, liant ses œuvres dans un récit artistique continu. Les peintures d'Anplac abordent les thèmes de l'économie, des émotions et du monde virtuel, influencées par son double héritage chilien et français. Elle utilise son art pour susciter une réflexion sur les interactions et les décisions économiques quotidiennes, en incorporant des symboles comme le Bitcoin pour remettre en question la valeur et l’illusion de la richesse matérielle.

Dernièrement, elle se focalise sur le recyclage, visant toujours une démarche durable, et porte son regard sur la mer si proche. Elle passe de longues heures à observer l’océan et s’en inspire pour peindre plusieurs éléments aux couleurs vifs et coups de pinceaux dançants. Notamment des algues imaginaires et des écailles qui ressemblent à une écriture de plus en plus pressée. Cela donne jusqu’ à présent près d’ une soixantaine de toiles et peintures sur objets trouvés, elle entamme ainsi la 4ème saison de la série appelée « Carnets de mer ».
