Angela Sommer is a contemporary artist with a self-taught background.  She is influenced by artists of the 20th century, but develops her own technique and color language.  She lets herself be inspired by nature without depicting it.  At the same time, she creates an impression with expressive means, and pastels are often her first choice.  Sketches are usually made in oil in the studio.   Sketch-like, random structures are created through fast, powerful work: a new expression.
