Ana Maksimova
BIO:
My name is Ana Maksimova.
I was born in 1988 and developed creatively in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania. In my hometown, there is a so-called bohemian district (Užupis) that belongs to the people of art. This area has been compared to the the famous Montmartre district in Paris and is also called a separate republic with its self-proclaimed constitution. The creativity and spirit of freedom from these streets will forever remain a part of me!
Having comprehended the creative energy of my native places, in 2011 I moved to the equally beautiful and astonishing Finland, where I live, create paintings, and develop today.
In my artworks, I talk about the contrasts of life, find harmony in color combinations, and express emotions with the help of art materials. At the beginning of 2021 I decided to immerse myself in creativity again, to do what brings me pleasure in the first place. I studied popular modern painting techniques that are relevant today for modern interiors, and came to the understanding that in the age of information technology, my paintings should not be overloaded with plots and forms, but should interact with the inner world of a person and harmoniously complement the space. By combining various art techniques and materials, I give particular preference to acrylic paints, textured pastes and epoxy resin.I create paintings in which the main meaning is colors and their combinations. In my works, I say that colors are amazing algorithms of the Universe that affect the subconscious of people. In the modern world, various materials are available, painted in different shades, but nevertheless, if we think about it, we cannot touch the color in the usual physical way, we perceive colors unconsciously, we visually read them as algorithms. Colors are one of those algorithms of the universe that can affect our soul and feelings, they can affect both psychological and physical condition. Therefore, it is important for me that the painting does not just fit into modern interior trends, but that it affects a person, agitates his subtle fields, encourages him to feel and cognize the nature of his subconscious.
