As a teenager, he received an old oil color box as a gift, which sparked a profound discovery and revelation for him. Since then, he has consistently pursued this technique with unyielding pleasure and happiness.

Despite his passion for art, his career commitments afforded him numerous opportunities to travel the world, albeit leaving little time for his artistic pursuits. However, upon retiring from his busy professional life, he seized the chance to fully dedicate himself to his lifelong passion. In recent years, he has also explored watercolor painting, attending courses to refine his skills.

Retiere's artistic style is resolutely figurative, with a particular fondness for landscapes. He finds inspiration in the minutiae of graphic detail, the harmonies of color, the interplay of light, and the evocation of memories, all of which influence his choice of subjects.
