Alain Galet is a professionnal digital artis and photographer coming from a modest background in Pantin (France); of a Belgian father and a mother of Swedish origin, he began to draw and paint at the age of 14. At 17, he turned to the plastic arts and prepared for the competition for the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, which he joined the following year. There he studied modeling, direct carving, photography, painting, tapestry, drawing, stained glass, etc. At the same time he studied, in evening classes, ornamental modeling and wood carving at the Boulle school, video, screenplay writing... He left the School of Fine Arts with the diploma and a mention of excellence to work in television (SFP), cinema and theater (Opéra de Paris) as a sculptor for sets, while pursuing his career as a visual artist in his studio in Montreuil, exhibiting on various occasions in France or at the foreign.

After a stay at the University of Uppsala (Sweden), he turned to the United States: New York then Minneapolis where he returned for three months as a guest artist then as a lecturer in the Fine Arts & Theater section of the University of Minnesota, which awarded him the “Master of Fine Arts. During his 5-year stay in Minneapolis, he designed sets, costumes, lighting for theaters and operas (Jungle Theatre, Park Square, etc.) and also worked for an advertising agency, while pursuing his career as a photographer, painter and sculptor. These various centers of interest will find their points of fusion in the discovery of the possibilities of the computer, during training courses of D.A.O and development of computer-generated images.

Back in Paris, he perfected himself in computer-assisted creation, obtained the post-diploma or master's degree in computer-generated image creation at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris and was awarded a silver medal in the competition. from STEC in Tokyo, Japan for his short film “Nostalgie”. He resided for two years at the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris) then obtained a post as a professor of visual arts at the Beaux-arts workshops of the Paris City Hall, exhibited regularly at the Galerie Beckel-Odille-Boicos until its closure. and never ceases to work on digital photography and computer-generated imagery, the basis of a research that aims to be more plastic than photographic. Since then he has become the coordinator of the Sévigné center of the Beaux-arts workshops of the Paris City Hall in the 3rd arrondissement, a center where he teaches painting and drawing, developed with traditional or more contemporary techniques with electronic creation on touch pads.

His works have been exhibited in China, the USA, Colombia, Italy, Argentina, Poland, Russia, Germany, Spain and France.
