Adrovando Claro  is an illustrator, art teacher graduated from UFRN and photojournalist for the Press Office of the Municipal Secretary of Education of Natal. In 1991, he completed an arts course at UFRN and entered the field of photography, collaborating with the newspaper Gazeta de Macau (RN), which he helped found, becoming a photojournalist affiliated with Fenaj three years later. He created the photography newspaper O Foco with the journalist and photographer Fernando Pereira and the photojournalist Canindé Soares, which circulated in print from July 1992 to January 1997. With photography he participated in several exhibitions and articulated the photography workshop at Sesc/RN in 1994, which became an annual course for over ten years. In 1999, he received an honorable mention at the II National Photography Salon of Sorocaba (SP), First Place in the contest “A look at us from Natal” (photos published) in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Natal (RN) and Third Place at the II Euzébio Rocha Award from Sindpetro/RN. In 2000, he participated in the project “Redescobrindo o Brasil” by the NGO TerrAmar, producing photos in Salvador(BA), Recife(PE), Olinda(PE), Baía da Traição(PB) and Natal(RN) for the book of the same title. , in celebration of Brazil's 500th anniversary, including a photographic exhibition. In 2002, he held a Unicef/Terramar photography workshop in the neighborhood of Felipe Camarão, on the east side of Natal and took the photos for the book “A look at CEDUC” with 50 students from public schools. He also published photos in the Potiguar magazines of the Andi Network (The Child and the Adolescent in the Potiguar Media-2002; Young People in the Construction of the Future, in the Present-2003; The Child and the Adolescent in the Potiguar Media-2004) organized by Terramar. He has photography books published at www.lulu.com/adrovando. He was part of the board of directors of the Associação Potiguar de Fotografia, which he helped to found in 2008. He was part of the monitoring in periodic basic photography courses at Sesc-RN from 1994 to 2005. He served on the board of the Rio Grande do Norte Union of Journalists. He is the founder of the image bank Arquivo Foto (www.arquivofoto.com.br) and Prisma Stock Photo (www.prismastockphoto.com), two photographic archives with photos from Natal and Rio Grande do Norte.
