I was born on March 6, 1958 in Romania. I was very little when I started to draw.
My mother spent more on paper and colors than on candy. We were 4 sisters, all gifted for the arts.
At the age of 12 I was a student at the Lycée d'Arts Plastiques in Cluj-Napoca, next to my older sister, Lidia.
I did my university studies at the Institute of Plastic Arts in Cluj-Napoca. Then I worked a lot, sharing myself between my family and art.

"She's still alive :) When I was a year and a few months old I almost killed her. Probably she was crying and I wanted to shut her up. Luckily our mother saw it before a tragedy happened. I placed myself on her face ready to suffocate her But what did I know at a year and a few months?
Since the age of 12 when she was admitted to the high school of plastic arts in Cluj-Napoca, she has not separated from pencils and brushes. It's hard to imagine it without its accessories. Colleagues have always remembered Adriana as a very passionate and hard-working little girl, tireless, full of energy and good humor. She had become a model to follow.
We had admirable teachers. But in 1974 a new teacher, Ioan Sbârciu, arrived. He changed something like magic. Beautiful presence, imposing, he became the most popular of teachers. His method was to make us observe everything, everything, even what does not seem interesting. In addition, he wanted to make us understand that drawing and painting were disciplines as serious as math, especially for those who wanted to continue their studies in the arts.
During the admission exam to the "Ion Andréscu" Institute of Plastic Arts in Cluj-Napoca, we were in the large city park where the painting section was located. It was well known at the time that it was very difficult to become a fine arts student in Romania. There were always the favored who had to move forward, then to whom the luck.
Adriana walked proud and confident in the aisle, saying: "stay calm, the first place is mine this year (1978). I am the daughter of the decan of the institute". Of course she was joking but many took it seriously by keeping the question in their heads during the 4 years of study. She was appreciated because she did well both in the workshop and in theory classes.
She obtains her diploma in chief of promotion and she chooses a post of professor of plastic arts in Zalau, a city quite close to Cluj-Napoca. Later she left teaching to devote herself entirely to the breeding and education of her daughter Karin but also to gain time ...
