Thejana Roshan Kumara is an artist and art teacher from Sri Lanka who enjoys creating beautiful art as his favorite pastime. He was born and raised in rural Kurunegala in the country where he developed a passion for art as a school kid.
He pursued his higher studies in art stream, and he entered the university to acquire higher knowledge in the subject. As a result, he graduated from the University of Colombo with a bachelor's degree in Arts (BFA) but he did not stop from there. He also went onto get his MSc in Art from the University of Kelaniya in 2020.
Thejana is a multi-talented artist who can handle various mediums with ease. He has done paintings in Watercolors, Acrylics, Oils and Mixed Media during his artistic journey. He uses Watercolors to create Sri Lankan cultural paintings highlighting folk life and places of significance while other mediums are used in themes of exploration, spirituality, freedom in a semi-personalized manner.
