"O Some wrote about his works: The play of lights originating from the canvases of impressionists.
Unquestionable decorative value of the canvases spiced with the pinch of melancholy. The pictures of Wojciech Górecki express the joy of another day given by life. This cycle may be described as four seasons. The author is emotionally engaged in country landscapes, meadow coloured by field flowers, water rushes and also dunes and the sight of sea, the sky changing its shades. The simplicity of beauty hidden in everyday life, the rich scale of colours in which nature is attired, emanates with peace, relieves emotional anxieties of soul.
In Górecki's opinion, nature has always been the greatest inspiration of artists, so he also seeks his inspiration there. Wojciech Górecki is so far the only serious painter specialising in realistic landscape of postimpressionist type, so called beautiful look. He is a unique hunter of what might be considered not possible to be painted, whatever can be pampered by senses, what even the photographic plate cannot register.
The pleinair in Siberia in 1999 let him stand up to different air, different sun, longer than in Poland air perspective, high mountains growing out of water. Having its roots in the best European Traditins, the art of Wojciech Górecki is equally important as its currents, which try to widen its boundaries. Turning back to tradition carries danger of barbarity. The Gorecki.s art , though it may appear eclectic, is the contemporary, ambitious attempt of bringing us closer to that devoided of harmony, cruel XX century may have forgotten...
