"Fine-Arts" afdrukken op papier
Het is een proces van afdrukken op kunstpapier met pigmentinkt van zeer hoge kwaliteit en gedrukt in zeer hoge definitie. Het niveau van conservering is uitzonderlijk (meer dan 100 jaar), de kwaliteit, diepte en rijkdom van nuances overtreft de klassieke fotoprint op Argentijns papier.
Glanzend afgewerkt
Afgezien van zijn uitzonderlijke dikte, bestaat het vezelpapier uit een alfa-cellulosebasis zonder zuur en is het bedekt met bariumsulfaat en een microporeuze laagabsorptie versterkende pigmenten tijdens het afdrukken. Dit papier heeft een puur witte kleur, vergeelt niet naar licht en is speciaal ontworpen voor weerstand en veroudering. Het wordt gebruikt door grote musea over de hele wereld omdat het een uitstekende resolutie biedt, waardoor diepe en dichte kleuren worden weergegeven.

My name is Walter Machielsen and I've been fascinated by microscopy ever since I got a toy microscope for Christmas when I was a kid. Since digital photography became the standard, I am photographing natural objects with help of a microscope, also known as "microphotography".
I'm currently working three microscopes in combination with a reflex camera that looks through the microscope like an eye. The goal is to create images that possess aesthetic/compositional quality (which is, of course, subjective), are of high quality, and intrigue the audience. The resulting photos have a high degree of uniqueness due to the choice of objects and the way the objects are captured. My work is a journey of discovery within the microscopic world, introducing the viewer to structures and forms they have never seen before. It is my passion to capture these images and my mission to share them.
My work consists of photos that are the result of stacked focus planes. The photos you see are also an accurate representation of what is visible through the lens of a microscope. Through my microphotographs, I hope to show you just how fragile, ingenious, and beautiful the nature around us can be
