In this composition, I wanted to convey the gradation of modern Turkey - from conservatism and traditions to a modern outlook on life. And also the unique flavor of Turkey. The bright sky of an incredible blue color, which almost merges with the water. The sea is not visible in the picture, since the angle is low, but this only adds space. The sun. Shadows. The tan on the girl in red and her openness. And modest shelter from the sun in the outfits and looks of the other two girls. The middle girl is like a transition from old traditional morals to a modern free life.
For me, everything is beautiful in this picture. Figures, faces, gestures, the spirit of southern countries and the freedom of the sea around. The psychological picture reveals such different characters of these girls. Each is beautiful in her own way.
I do not like to paint static and poser portraits. I love pictures from life both in photography and in painting. For me, this picture is exactly that. A piece of real life without embellishment and posing. Vivid images of the country where I was lucky enough to live and see the people of this country from the inside. It is very diverse. It is not for nothing that they say that Istanbul is a city of contrasts. And Turkey is a country of contrasts. It is very diverse. Both the people and customs in it are completely different. I only touched this culture a little, but it interested me. Somewhere it disappointed, and somewhere it conquered.
And I will continue to paint pictures on the theme of Turkey. And I will also be happy to visit this country again to get to know the culture and traditions of Turkey more deeply.
