The watercolor painting was based on impressions from the Aegean coast of Turkey. Fethiye. The golden hour after sunset, when the sky turns pink and the lanterns twinkle in the dusk and glow with stars. The sea resembles sparkling and iridescent mercury. Incredible shades from the beautiful sky and the approaching darkness.
The sea is beautiful in any weather if you are standing on the shore.
The sea inspires and gives strength.
I painted two similar paintings; they would look great together or separately.
A tanker in the distance reminds us that life goes on as usual, that people live and time has not turned back. There is a modernity to this. And the sea and mountains, water and sand are eternities, eternal beauty and life that cannot be spoiled. Because this is our future too. As well as the future of our children, animals and the planet.

My name is Viktoria Gaman, I am a Russian artist, I was born in 1981 in Samara, studied in Moscow, now I have left Russia, I travel, I live and work in Turkey. I paint and write using different techniques and different materials, such as dry pastel, watercolor, oil, ink and ink, markers. But my favorite material is soft pastels.
