Elle a une gueule de chien, un regard de louve ! Elle me fixe de ses yeux. Que peut-elle bien penser ? Le reflet de son image sur le marbre au sol, la rend encore plus mystérieuse. Thomi vit avec nous dans la maison, jour, nuit, elle ne me quitte pas. Veillerait-elle sur les occupants de la maison ? Un voisin me dit qu'elle mord et tue, qu'elle est dangereuse. Je voyais une lueur d'empathie et d'amitié dans le regard de Thomi. Et pourtant, cette araignée n'a fait que partager notre toit, rien de plus. Elle m'accompagnait dans mes déplacements, de pièce en pièce... Elle fut le témoin de notre vie dans la maison. Son nom est Thomisidae. Et, en réalité, elle ne présente aucun danger pour l'humain.

It's got the face of a dog and the eyes of a she-wolf! It stares at me. What can it be thinking? The reflection of its image on the marble floor makes it even more mysterious. Thomi lives with us in the house, day and night, never leaving my side. Is it watching over the occupants of the house? A neighbour tells me that it bites and kills, that it's dangerous. I could see a gleam of empathy and friendship in Thomi's eyes. And yet this spider only shared our roof, nothing more. It accompanied me wherever I went, from room to room... Thomi was a witness to our life in the house. Its scientific name is Thomisidae. And, in reality, it presents no danger to humans.
