Valerio Saltarelli Savi was born in 1967 in Piacenza. Since years 1990, his work develops between design and art, parallel paths joined by a patient and passionate search for peculiar materials and objects that very often can be considered museum rarities. The design experience moves around many collaborations with important milestones such as Ettore Sottssass, Franz West, Johanna Grawunder and Memphis group. Exceptional and unique furniture pieces have received international appreciation, one for all in 2017 the selection of “Editor’s picks” by luxury design platform 1stDibs. His art works, on the other hand, reveal the intimate side of the artist. A particular eye on the many facets of Man and Life, especially in their connections with the themes of Luck and Faith, are the never ending “fil rouge” of a huge production.Valerio Saltarelli takes part in many solo and collective exhibitions with private and public organizations and art galleries: Volumnia Gallery, Nomad 2019 Venezia, Deutsche Bank, Comune di Milano, Comune di Parma e Piacenza, Palaexpo Roma, MIM Museum, Sotheby’s, Millon, Il Sole 24 ore.His works are present in many private collections. Since 2024 he started collaborating with Sant'Agostino Auction House - Turin. He lives and works in his Centovera, Piacenza, Italy.
