About Juan Antonio Rodríguez Olivares
Juan Antonio Rodríguez Olivares (Tony Rodriguez), was born July 9, 1980 in Santiago de Cuba. He graduated in Plastic Arts and specialized in Latin American and European art history. He taught drawing and painting in art schools and illustrated magazines such as La Llaga en el Dedo and Al Dorso. He has had many solo and group exhibitions in Santiago de Cuba, Havana and other cities of the country as well as some international exhibitions. He participated in the X Biennale of Havana with the exhibition called Shelters of Time. Since 2000 he has won several awards and accolades. In the art environment he is considered as “the painter of reflection.” He currently resides in Miami, USA, where his works are exhibited in various galleries.
