Teresa's roots can be traced back to Padua, where she was born and raised. Her love for Eastern languages drew her to Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where she pursued her studies with great enthusiasm. Her curiosity and thirst for knowledge led her to embark on a journey to China in the late 1980s, where she lived for several years. Returning to Italy, she eventually settled into the translation industry, where she would spend the next two decades honing her craft and raising her two children. Despite her busy schedule, Teresa always remained passionate about various pursuits, including music, swimming, reading, traveling, and urban agriculture projects. However, her lifelong dream of painting was never far from her thoughts, serving as a constant background melody that would eventually manifest into a beautiful work of art.
She started taking painting classes in Padua in 2018 and found that her creativity surged during the 2020 lockdown. She now considers painting to be an essential part of her life. In May 2021, she had her first solo exhibition in Padua and has since taken part in many group exhibitions throughout Italy, Europe, and the United States. Her second solo exhibition is planned for May 2023, and she is presently represented by two New York galleries.
