Inspired by emotional renewal, Blue Rain symbolizes the gentle cleansing that happens when we finally give ourselves permission to follow our calling. I created this piece at the age of 51, after many years of setting art aside. The cool blue tones evoke a sense of emotional refreshment, while the soft streaks and layered textures reflect the mix of happiness and hope I felt as I returned to what I truly love.
Painted digitally using my iPad and Apple Pencil—much like traditional paints, brushes, and the techniques I developed—this process rekindled my passion for art and opened a new path for blending digital creation with traditional methods.
This artwork is available as a hand-embellished limited edition, carefully printed on museum-quality canvas and finished with subtle acrylic touches applied by hand. Each print is signed, numbered, and uniquely enhanced—no two are exactly alike. The added texture and detail bring a tactile richness, elevating each piece beyond a standard print and offering collectors something truly special.

Hi, I'm Tamiko Pettee. I consider myself a contemporary artist who blends digital and traditional painting, weaving stories and messages drawn from my own experiences. As a child, I was always artistic, but I never imagined I would one day become an artist. My first piece, Blue Rain, expresses the emotion and determination behind finally pursuing my childhood dream of creating art.
After a period of learning and experimentation, I discovered a deep joy in digital painting—using my iPad and Apple Pencil—as well as traditional tools like paint and brushes. Both mediums now play a role in how I express myself.
