This painting is a visual reflection of a person’s struggle with his inner fears and problems, which turn into a terrifying monster. The monster, with black tentacles and red eyes, symbolizes those difficulties and obstacles that we perceive as all-consuming and insurmountable. His dark figure seems to grow out of the shadow of our doubts and indecision.
The person depicted in the foreground is each of us. He stands on the edge of a collision, determined to confront chaos. The red spot in the background is more than just a background. It symbolizes the knowledge, experience and skills that we possess. It is the light inside us that is ready to illuminate our path, if only we believe in ourselves. But sometimes, we simply do not notice this power hidden inside us and look only at what scares us.
Through this work I wanted to show that even the darkest fears can be conquered if a person remembers his inner strength. Problems and challenges are part of our path, but armed with our own knowledge and faith, we are able to overcome any obstacle. The monster is strong, but the strength of a person lies in his determination and ability to use his resources.

The artist began her creative path in childhood. She studied at the art school in the St. Petersburg Palace of Youth Creativity for more than 10 years. Her first creative materials were watercolor, ink, and pastel.
The artist devoted the following years to studying at the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Master's degree in Digital Business Management), as well as working in the university's scientific department.
At the beginning of 2020, after a seven-year break, the artist returned to creative development and began painting with oil paints.
