My husband and I once thinking to create a sculpture to highlight the social issue of our society. We decided to work on "Stribhrun Hatya" the limelight issue. This issue inspired us to create my new sculpture "Earth Balance". My husband and I, were thinking to devise a way. While discussing on this issue we both had different view-points. Thus we decided to take the opinion of my father's friend the ace sculptor, Mr. Ashok Kale. He listened to our views on this subject & he agreed with my husband's thoughts & then he advised us that a sculpture should gives a feel like we are reading a book. After which I started creation a sculpture "Earth Balance" as per his suggestion.

A human model for this sculpture is my dearest friend Ms. Dimple Koli. It takes 15 days for me to sculpt her, out of which 5 days to sculpt infant's sculpture & 10 days for python. It took us over a month. As a model, Dimple gave a warm motherly look to the infant which was heart throbbing. I felt that she can create a good career in acting industry. This sculpture holds a great importance in my life. In real sense, it adds "Earth Balance" to my life.

I submitted this sculpture to Ms. Supriya Sule on Woman's Day 8 March 2013 for her "Lek Wachava Campaign" through our area corporator Mr. Subhash Jagtap. Our Ex Central Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar & Mrs. Supriya Sule has appreciated me on woman's day 08/03/2013.

Sculpture is defined as a manually crafted specimen displaying beautiful artistic features and serving a specific purpose but in reality sculpture is much more than this definition. Sculpting is supposed to be the most difficult form of art. It is live and expressive due its dimensions. And we can understand extent of skill and command on a material required for creating a live sculpture.

It is like breathing life in stone or fiber. A sculpture has to have this ability of a creator. Ability to create universe from lifeless fiber. This skill can not be taught or imbibed, an artist is born with it. One such born young artist is Mrs.Supriya Shekhar Shinde.

Mrs.Supriya believes that every event, every occasion tells you something. Even if they are routine chores, they have a story to tell. Every human reaction is an expression of certain feelings. We experience love, affection and caring, warmth every moment. This is real. And can be expressed only in realistic style of sculpture.

It is said that behind every successful man there is a woman. In Mrs. Supriya's case, it is a Man, her husband Shekhar. Mr. Shekhar Shinde is the first aficionado and a real critic too. Mr. Shekhar's dearest dream is Mrs. Supriya wins national an international approval, accolades and awards. She should set new benchmarks in the field of sculpting.
