In Eastern cultures, paintings of Koi carps and lily flowers bring abundance and wealth to the home. I believe in this, since since I began to paint them, my financial situation has grown significantly. Therefore, I constantly return to this topic in my work. I often observe these flowers and paint them, now they have become my favorites. And although there are not many reservoirs in Moscow where carps live, they are found. I go to them and make sketches and photographs. In this diptych, I combined two paintings with water lilies of my favorite dark color and a fish that brings good luck. Both paintings are square. The canvas is stretched over cardboard.
