Stanley’s goal was to depict elephants working together as a united front to achieve a common goal, showing us how the tree trunk would break if either of the elephants were to apply too much power. Conversely, if the elephants were to use too little force, then the tree trunk would fall, emphasising the importance of working together and being one. Stanley portrays how an elephant must display restraint and that we as people should practice this sentiment. For a remarkable take-home message to be presented in such a small artwork goes to show the skill Stanley Sibanda has!.
Just like the elephants in this sculpture, which represent unity, strength, and togetherness, we as humans should also carry these excellent qualities. So why not buy this beautiful yet small sculpture that can be used for an ornament on your dining table, desk, and dresser.
