I have been longing to develop the moth race scene from the 'The Fairy Tree' for some time now, and finally completed it in September. It features a more detailed study of the elf and the beautiful and large Venezuelan Poodle Moth which a large moth that is sometimes kept as a pet and has a fluffy and ethereal quality to it. The colours of the night sky are very similar to 'The Fairy Tree' to capture the magic of the evening.

Oil paint on stretched 20x20cm canvas. Also available as a Limited Edition Giclée Print and Blank Greetings Card.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.


In my early 20’s, I undertook a National Diploma course in Graphic Design and then went on to the Surrey Institute in Epsom to gain a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.  Following 13 years as a Graphic Designer, I decided to fulfil my dream of becoming a Lecturer and pass on what I'd learned. I undertook a PGCE at Northbrook College and gained employment at West Kent College, Ravensbourne and Nescot, where I lectured in Graphic Design, Art and Music. I thrived in helping adults young and old to make their dreams come true. I also unfolded my healing gifts through shamanic and reiki training.

Motherhood, enabled me to return to my own illustration and art projects. My most recent project has been to paint local landscapes that hold fond memories for me and bring great joy and British wildlife. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have...
