Het is een proces van afdrukken op kunstpapier met pigmentinkt van zeer hoge kwaliteit en gedrukt in zeer hoge definitie. Het niveau van conservering is uitzonderlijk (meer dan 100 jaar), de kwaliteit, diepte en rijkdom van nuances overtreft de klassieke fotoprint op Argentijns papier.

Afgezien van zijn uitzonderlijke dikte, bestaat het vezelpapier uit een alfa-cellulosebasis zonder zuur en is het bedekt met bariumsulfaat en een microporeuze laagabsorptie versterkende pigmenten tijdens het afdrukken. Dit papier heeft een puur witte kleur, vergeelt niet naar licht en is speciaal ontworpen voor weerstand en veroudering. Het wordt gebruikt door grote musea over de hele wereld omdat het een uitstekende resolutie biedt, waardoor diepe en dichte kleuren worden weergegeven.

Undines are a type of water nymphs that live in fresh-water forest pools and waterfalls. They are much smaller than their sea-dwelling cousins and have quite a different countenance. They tend to seek out waterfalls and forest pools which are natural portals to other realms and have beautiful singing voices.

The inspiration for this piece came from the nature reserve close to my home where there are little waterfalls overhung by the trees and my love of aquatic life - particularly in rivers and streams.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.


In my early 20’s, I undertook a National Diploma course in Graphic Design and then went on to the Surrey Institute in Epsom to gain a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.  Following 13 years as a Graphic Designer, I decided to fulfil my dream of becoming a Lecturer and pass on what I'd learned. I undertook a PGCE at Northbrook College and gained employment at West Kent College, Ravensbourne and Nescot, where I lectured in Graphic Design, Art and Music. I thrived in helping adults young and old to make their dreams come true. I also unfolded my healing gifts through shamanic and reiki training.

Motherhood, enabled me to return to my own illustration and art projects. My most recent project has been to paint local landscapes that hold fond memories for me and bring great joy and British wildlife. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have...
