Sublime Harmony (2024) 绘画 由 Sohni Rakshit

Sohni Rakshit (born 26 March 1985) is an abstract artist and painter originating from Mumbai, India. Art isn’t just something she dabbled in. Coming from a family of jewellers and diamantaires, her artistic flair was woven into the very fabric of her family for generations.

Sohni is a trained and qualified psychologist. She has a diverse and chequered experience spanning 4 countries. Sohni has worked as a counsellor therapist for school children in India. She had an entrepreneurial venture specializing in Indian jewellery in Singapore and worked as a recruitment consultant placing C-suite IT professionals in Hong Kong.

Despite her varied career graph, Sohni’s passion and true calling has always been towards modern contemporary art. Hence, she continued her practice and also obtained a professional certification (securing A grade) from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Art (NAFA), Singapore. She has sold several paintings in each country she resided.

Currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Sohni recently setup an art studio and gallery and is practicing painting full-time. She is a proponent of abstract art forms such as expressionism, action painting, abstract organic, colour field etc using eclectic style to fulfill the outcome of her subconscious creative expression. Her vision is to reinvigorate and promote abstract art and provide viewers with an intangible, emotional experience, being completely different for each individual, depending on their personality and mood.
