Sinden Collier's images are poetic and dreamy, with a tactile quality we rarely get to see in photography. They arch back to the early days of the medium, when film was used and effects were added in the darkroom.
The title of her show, “Le Réinventé” (The Reinvented), perfectly fits her work, how she reinvents her images.
Sinden Collier first experimented with film and darkroom techniques to create her multi-layered images; she now uses digital manipulations. The tools may have changed, but her artistic intent has not – her vision remains throughout. The world she creates is both romantic and nostalgic, with a bit of surrealism thrown in.

Biografía
Sinden Collier se convirtió en fotógrafo tras una exitosa carrera como cantante, compositor y músico. Grabar bajo el sello Motown le dio la oportunidad de ver mundo.
Siempre estuvo interesada en la fotografía y la aprendió por su cuenta. Su punto de vista único y a veces surrealista rápidamente le valió reconocimiento y apoyo.
Trabajando al principio con películas y experimentando en el cuarto oscuro, ahora utiliza la manipulación digital para crear hermosos y poéticos paisajes oníricos.
En 2001, se convirtió en la primera fotógrafa negra en contratar a Getty Images.
En 2017, su libro "Trains of Thought - Welcome Aboard" recibió una mención de honor en los "Mejores libros de fotografía de 2017" de Elizabeth Avedon. En él, sus imágenes artísticas acompañan a aforismos escritos por su hermana gemela, Rhett Collier.
Su trabajo ha aparecido en revistas y campañas publicitarias, y ha recibido numerosos premios, incluido "YourDailyPhotograph.com Hot 100 Photographers of 2021".
