Selim Kaya

Hi there! My name is Selim Kaya. I am an artist living and working in Izmir, pearl of the Aegean Region.

Currently studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts / Painting - Dokuz Eylül University. 

Works consist mostly of pastels, collages, mono and linocut prints. 

About Rounds Series: 

My obsession of circular forms and their studies that are depicting wholeness, harmony, joy and inner serenity with pictorial issues such as colour, texture and composition.

About Monotype-Prints Series:

Still- and everyday life from the grand bazaar of Kemeraltı, Izmir, Turkey.

Short Biography

After graduating from high school in 2011, I attended the Translation and Interpreting Undergraduate Program at Ege University. After graduating from there in 2018, while working part-time at a private company, I attended preparatory courses to get academic training on visual arts, which I was interested in as an amateur before and I started my education at the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül Fine Arts Faculty in 2019. I am eagerly continuing to develop my theoretical knowledge and practical skills in this field.
