This artwork is part of the "Memory" Collection, where I represent worn out skates, hanging from a nail by the shoelaces, as if floating in a space without time. There is nothing else, there isn’t a real setting. The style focuses around bold contrasts between light and dark, predominantly monochromic pallets, spread with expressive and highly tactile brushstrokes characterized by color drippings. Objects born to run cannot move any longer, hung and tired, thus acquiring new meaning: an introspective tale of profound passions, the need to freely express oneself but, at the same time, the suffering of having to abandon a part of oneself.
The painting is done with acrylic colors on cotton canvas. The edges are painted and the signature is present on the front and back sides. The artwork is ready to hang and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The surface is finished with a double layer of mat varnish, which makes it resistant to UV rays and the passage of time.
