I used a mix of warm oranges, earthy browns, blues, and greens, balanced with dark outlines to give it structure. The process was intuitive, just responding to each shape as it came, letting the painting evolve without overthinking. It’s playful and rhythmic like a bass line, with a mix of contrast and flow that keeps your eyes moving across the canvas. The style draws on elements of Cubism and geometric abstraction, breaking up space, reassembling them, and finding harmony through contrast. Multiple layers of paint create a subtle texture and richness on the surface, adding depth that reveals itself gradually as you look closer.

Samantha Malone (born 1978) is an Australian/Israeli artist currently based in Tel Aviv. Her work is inspired by geometric abstraction, cubism, and the dynamic interplay between order and chaos.
