Ready to Hang (unframed).
Medium: Acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
Size: 100x80cm (39.4" x 31.5").
The painting continues to the sides of the canvas 2.5cm (1.0"). The artwork has been finished with a gloss varnish to protect against UV and dust.
"The Embrace" came together through layers of purples, pinks, teals, golden yellows, and touches of blue. These colors feel warm, rich, and full of life. I wanted the shapes to feel like they were leaning into each other, holding space and connecting. I worked intuitively, building up the composition slowly with acrylic paint until everything felt like it had found its place. I also added small pattern details using acrylic markers - little spots of interest to guide the eye and create movement across the canvas. It’s bold and expressive, but there’s a softness in there too.
