Light and Nobility (2020) 摄影 由 Sadeq Ghlichli
The horse, often regarded as a symbol of nobility and beauty, holds a significant and deeply rooted place among the most iconic and noble domestic animals in the mythology of ancient Persia. The ancient Iranians, much like they prayed to Ahura Mazda for blessings upon themselves and their families, also sought strength and vigor for their horses. In the Avesta, horses are mentioned as one of the most favored animals, and even instructions for their care and well-being are provided, reflecting the purity, nobility, and importance that this animal held in Persian culture.
"Light and Nobility" is inherently an artist’s tribute to his grandfather and his white mare, a distant yet vivid recollection. The halos and images in the artist’s mind evoke childhood memories and remain the sole enduring connection to his grandfather.
