The Lilac. (2019) Картина - Вера Богуславская

I live in Siberian city Omsk in Russia. From the very childhood, I wanted to connect my life with art and I knew that I would not be myself without it. Having received a special art education in academic drawing, painting and composition, I continued studying at the University as an artist/fashion designer.

I am fond of oil painting. I like creating beautiful colour spots, bright light effects; I think that every work should be filled with meaning and idea.

I am very inspired by Dutch painting of the 17th century, genre painting by Hendrik Avercamp, Hieronymus Bosch and still lifes of the "Golden Age of Dutch Painting".

My works are presented in private collections in Russia and Israel, and I will be very happy if my works bring joy to art lovers.

When I see beautiful combinations of objects, textures, shadows, and colours, I feel the need for painting. I strive to capture what I see. I want to share with the world what inspires me, and therefore make someone happier too.
