Alain Boissel est né le 26 août 1958 à Cahors (Lot).
Artiste autodidacte, il se passionne pour le dessin au début des années 80, alors qu’il débute sa carrière de pompier professionnel. Une façon pour lui d’estomper les réalités quotidiennes de son métier. Il s’initie à la peinture au début des années 90, tout en perfectionnant le dessin au sein de l’atelier libre de l’Académie de La Grande Chaumière (Paris VIème).
D’inspiration figurative à l’origine, Alain Boissel oriente sa démarche artistique vers l’abstraction depuis 2014. Ses compositions sont autant de voyages émotifs. Libre, chaleureuse, rayonnante, la couleur est ici en chaque chose, sublimant l’expression de la matière et donnant à voir et à imaginer…
