Personal Interests
Visual story telling — "A story is 'holy,' and it is used as medicine. The story is not told to lift you up, to make you feel better, or to entertain you, although all those things can be true. The story is meant to take the spirit into a descent to find something that is lost or missing and to bring it back to consciousness again." Jungian storyteller Clarissa Pinkola Estes, influenced by the Curanderisma healing tradition from Mexico and Central America.

Philosophy of Art
Philosophy of Art
by Rozita Fogelman
The artist is a philosopher.
The artist is not a craftsman.
The artist is not a synthetic machine.
The artist is not an artifact maker.
The artist is a witchdoctor.
The artist is the thinker.
The artist is a healer.
The artist is the thinker.
Art is not for recreation.
Art is not for decoration.
Art is not about highlighting objects,
or repetition of the previous.
Art is the idea or a suggestion of something new.
Art is a pure idea of the artist’s imagination.
Art is the action of the artist’s thoughts.
Art is not mechanical or automatic.
Art is the artist’s analyses.
Art is the artist’s humor and critique.
Art is an examination of the artist being.
Art is the artist’s conscious hallucination.
Art is the artist’s unconscious fantasy.
Art is an awareness of intellectual being.
Art is an awareness of the artist’s higher being.
Art exists because the artist had the vision.
Art is the artist's seeing and observation.
Art is the artist's dream.
Art is a dream.
Art for the culture is to dream
Art for the artist is to be.
