Ronald Wigman

Hij is opgeleid als beeldend kunstenaar en grafisch ontwerper na een korte carrière als tekenleraar. Ook in opdrachten heeft hij altijd geprobeerd het eigen handschrift en de eigen beeldtaal verder te ontwikkelen. Zijn fascinatie voor plattegronden leidde tot vele boven aanzichten in zijn werk en tot de acceptatie dat voor hem schilderen een tweedimensionale uiting is. Nu zichtbaar door het gebruik van silhouetten in zijn werk, waarbij de rechthoek en het vierkant in een schilderij twee werelden met elkaar verbinden.

(He studied visual art and graphic design after a short career as art teacher. In assignments he has always tried to develop his own handwriting and his own visual language. His fascination for floor plans led to top views in many of his works and to the acceptance that painting for him is a two-dimensional expression. Nowadays visible through the use of silhouettes in his work, in which the rectangle and the square in a painting are connecting two different worlds.)

"Like pedestrians who walk without any certain destination, Wigman “mapped” his personal travel in reading reality. This mapping is not only done by the mind that formulates concepts, but also involving the body and soul that has desire, dreams, and enjoying the complexity of signs.
