Larisa Churkina is een hedendaagse Russische beeldhouwer. Churkina begon haar carrière in de werkplaats van het Obraztsov Puppet Theatre en maakte sculpturen en kunstpoppen. Sinds 2017 maakt ze ook objecten voor gerenommeerde theaters in Moskou. Haar expertisegebied was door de jaren heen portretteren.
Ze is momenteel toegewijd aan het maken van een reeks door persoonlijkheid beïnvloede portretten van rockartiesten. De sculpturen van John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse en Paul McCartney werden gebeeldhouwd uit het hedendaagse Amerikaanse acrylgips Ecoresin dat eruitzag als porselein.
Larisa Churkina werd geboren in 1965 in Rusland. Ze is lid van de Internationale Federatie van Kunstenaars in Rusland.
