There is a fleeting moment, a barely perceptible fraction of time, when the world splits in two. On one side, the sea unfolds like an ancient thought, deep and unfathomable. On the other, light dissolves every contour, leaving only the blinding white of a truth just glimpsed.

The left eye gazes into the shadow, holding its breath. The right eye surrenders to the light and trembles. There is no boundary between these two halves—only the delicate vibration of a fleeting balance.

This photograph captures that tremor, the instant before understanding. A gateway between two realities, a threshold to be crossed with the eyes.
