Albert Cruells, nascido em 1947 na Espanha, é um artista contemporâneo cuja infância foi moldada pelo mundo natural e pela influência criativa de sua família — seu pai era professor de piano e sua mãe, escritora. Sua jornada artística começou excepcionalmente cedo, com sua primeira exposição realizada aos sete anos de idade no açougue de seu avô.
Aos dezoito anos, Cruells mudou-se para Barcelona para estudar Arquitetura, mergulhando na cena artística moderna da cidade. Ele também encontrou inspiração em Cadaqués, onde frequentemente exibia seu trabalho em evolução. Sua arte ganhou reconhecimento internacional, levando à publicação de seu primeiro livro.
A Fundação Vila Casas fez a curadoria de seu trabalho, e a Fundação Antonio Saura o homenageou com uma exposição antológica e um livro abrangente de compilação de carreira. Apesar de seu sucesso, Cruells permanece profundamente conectado às suas raízes, continuando a trabalhar com a mesma paixão e dedicação que tinha quando criança com um pincel.
